For those who missed it (very early) this morning, we featured on BBC Radio York’s breakfast show, talking about our recent award and all things Active Against Cancer! Thanks David for your incredibly kind words 😁
We’re delighted to announce that the Active Against Cancer Team have won the NHS Parliamentary Award 2020 for Excellence in Healthcare in the North East and Yorkshire! Over 700 nominations were submitted making this a huge achievement for the team!
Emma Radcliffe, Lead Cancer Manager at the Trust, said: “Winning this award is a testament to the dedication of everyone on the team, all of whom have had to adapt their ways of working recently to continue to provide excellent support to those accessing the service.”
Andrew Jones, MP for Harrogate, said: “Winning the Excellence in Healthcare Award is a great recognition of how Harrogate’s Active Against Cancer team support people living with cancer throughout their journey from diagnosis through to rehabilitation and life-long activity. It is part of the holistic approach to cancer treatment in our area, which has led to some of the best cancer care outcomes in the entire country.”
Thank you to everyone who has contributed to the continued success of the service.
