POSE OF THE DAY

Todays pose of the day is mountain pose.

This pose may look simple, but when done properly should work almost your whole body. Mountain pose strengthens the thighs, knees, ankles, abdomen, and buttocks. It improves posture and, when practiced regularly, can help reduce back pain. This is a really good re-set posture which can be performed as regularly as you like, especially if you are spending a lot of time sitting. Hold here for five slow breaths.

KETTLE BOIL CHALLENGE

How many tricep dips can you do in the time it takes to boil the kettle?

Todays challenge will help to build strength in your upper body. Make sure your chair or surface is stable and can support your weight before starting. This one should be done nice and slowly, and you should start to feel an aching in the back of your upper arms. To make it slightly easier, complete in a chair with your hands on the chair arms, raising yourself out of the seat as you straighten your arms, then lowering back down to sitting.
